The
instructional program for the woodshop is made up of a number of different
clusters of tools, which are a group of tools taught at the same time. These clusters
are then divided into “interest categories.” Each interest category is designed
to meet the needs each member may have while working in the woodshop. For
example: woodworking categories of 1, 2,
& 3, and Lathe work. The clusters will give that member the basic
operation of each tool and will stress the safe operation of that tool. The
following is a list of the “clusters” grouped into the different interest
categories. It is recommended that those
members with very little knowledge or experience in Cluster #1 should request
instruction in that area.
